to represent the whole gospel to our neighbors, community and world by being disciples who make disciples, seeking the restoration of all things in Christ.
1. to be a community of disciples who make disciples… where men and women aren’t just becoming believers and doing church, but are truly becoming whole-hearted disciples of Jesus Christ. Where people in all stages of life, are learning from Jesus how to live the whole of their lives to the glory of God, by the power of His Spirit… seeking and learning the Way, the Truth and the Life from Christ with others… becoming disciples who make disciples.
2. to be a community alive in Christ and full of the Spirit… A community marked by Christ’s love for one another, for others, and for all of creation… that we would be known for our love, our compassion, our hospitality, our hope, our generosity, our joy, and our participation in God’s restoring work in the world around us.
We dream of being a community so alive in Christ (in all that we do) that others would be inspired to re-think their own lives, and to join us in the pursuit of life in Christ. That our life together would reveal to others that the way of Christ is not a sacrifice, but the best way to live.
3. to be a missional church because we are missional people… community of people who, being deeply rooted together in Christ, are living out our calling to be engaged in the world, for the sake of the world, seeking the restoration of all things in Christ…
To be a community of Christ-followers who aren’t so busy with ourselves, our church and one another that we don’t have time for mission, but whose lives are characterized by intentionally and actively joining God in His redemptive work in the world – for the sake of others, our community and world… A church where all of us are inspired, equipped, and unleashed to do what God made them for—to live for the glory of God and the sake of the world.
About PARKSIDE COMMUNITY CHURCH
To put it simply, we all know that life is about more than just waking up, surviving the day, hitting the pillow, and then getting up only to do it all over again. God created us for more than that. Our conviction at Parkside is that the life we were created for is a life lived in the fellowship of God. This life is not a solitary journey, but one found in community. This is our desire at Parkside. It is why we exist and we invite you to come along. No need to dress up or put on a “spiritual” face. Just come as you are - no matter what that looks like - as we seek to discover together what life is all about.
