Please join us for Ramp Up 2017 - our annual FUNraiser to support the work of the StopGap Foundation! With your generous support from last year’s Ramp Up event, we were able to build 400 new ramps and support Community Ramp Projects in 15 communities!

Here are some of the things that are really exciting us about this year's Ramp Up:

  • We're moving up and in to a new location this year - the beautiful Daniels Spectrum in Regent Park! A huge thank you to Artscape for their support in providing space.
  • As we've done in the past, there will be more than 20 artist created ramps on hand that we'll be auctioning off!
  • ...And we're taking it to another level this year by having a LIVE painting competition put on by our friends at Art Battle.
  • Open bar and Ah-mazing food from a fellow social enterprise, the Show Love Cafe!
  • Enjoy free rides to the event and home safe and sound, courtesy of our pals at Uber.
  • Tax receipts can be provided for donations.

Most importantly, we are super excited to celebrate with our community! We could not do what we do without all of you and can't wait to raise a glass and thank you in person!!

  • 6:00pm–9:00pm
  • Beer and Wine provided
  • Finger foods to be provided
  • Tax receipts can be provided for donations
  • Hashtag for the event is #RampUp2017

À propos de cet organisme

Physical barriers in our communities prevent many people from enjoying some of the amazing buildings and spaces that our cities and communities have to offer. With material donations from community hardware stores and volunteer labour from inspired community members businesses with single stepped storefronts are invited to have a custom ramp built. The project has introduced many to the human right to equal access and has broadened the conversation on this topic. The brightly coloured ramps not only increase accessibility, they spark curiosity and get people talking about this important issue of accessibility in their community.
