Our Mission
The Toronto Jewish Film Foundation (TJFF) is an unaffiliated not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to using the power of film to connect, engage and inspire audiences with unique and varied stories of Jewish life in Canada and beyond.
About THE TORONTO JEWISH FILM FOUNDATION
The Foundation's biggest event is the Toronto Jewish Film Festival which debuted in 1993 and continues to be Canada's premiere Jewish cultural event. Considered one of the largest Jewish Film Festivals in the world, it is an 11-day film extravaganza presented each spring at select theatres across the GTA. We showcase 80+ films from around the world, providing stimulating and insightful panel with leading filmmakers, writer and actors.
We also screen films throughout the year in-theatre and online, including our annual High-Holiday screening and top-rated Israeli TV series.
We run a free educational outreach programme - FilmMatters - for elementary and post-secondary students and teachers aimed at exploring universal themes such as diversity, tolerance and social action.
Our free online streaming platorm J-Flix, allows users across Canada to digitally access the Foundation's vast library of films.
