Victim Services of York Region and Toronto help victims in the immediate aftermath of crime and tragedies. Operating 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, our programs and services help an average of 27,000 people each and every year.
Victim Services assist traumatized individuals, family members and witnesses on scene with local police in a variety 9-1-1- situations including but not limited to:
For vulnerable victims of major tragedies, services are tailored to the needs of each individual and include: emotional support, linking clients to counselling and community services, financial assistance (limited eligibility), assistance with arranging funerals or visitors visas, safety planning, personal safety devices (limited eligibility), accompaniment, other assistance with accessing a wide range of programs, services and resources.

Dragon boat racing is held globally. It is now an annual event held in over 40 countries. All over the world, far and wide, people embrace this water sport and form dragon boat racing clubs in their own countries.
