About CHURCH OF THE REDEEMER

Church of the Redeemer is a parish of diversity: singles, married couples, gays and lesbians, children, the elderly, and diverse cultural backgrounds all call Redeemer home. While 49% of our members have been cradled in the Anglican tradition, most of us have been nurtured through United Church, Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Christian Reformed, Mennonite, and Baptist communities.

We come from hither and yon. The downtown core is home to many of our members, but some travel from as far away as Dundas, Oakville, Mississauga, Aurora, Ottawa - and now from cyberspace.

We are educated, wealthy, poor, homeless, and hungry. We are an Anglican community striving to wear the mantle of God's peace, love, and compassion in all that we do.

The Common Table

During this uncertain time the Common Table continues to provide nourishing ‘to-go’ meals to over 100 people Monday to Wednesday. Thursday and Friday our Common Table carts travel into the neighbourhood to provide food, health information and a connection with the community. Your financial gifts ensure that we have the necessary resources to buy food and supplies to serve these most vulnerable in our community and to assist them in finding available supports. As the number of people coming to us increases, your generosity ensures that we are able to continue to serve all who come to our door.
