‘Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.’      Matthew 7: 24-26

Our foundation of faith is strong at Grace United Church, but when the rains fell on our flat roof last year it leaked. The roof is being replaced to keep our House (Church) in tip top shape.

Our roof was built in the 1960’s and is therefore approaching, if not exceeding, the expected life span of roofing materials.  In particular, the flat roof at the church has had patching repairs but will now need to be replaced. 

With full roof replacement, recladding of the chimney, sloping of the flat roof for proper drainage, insulation, roofing of the Annex and related expenses, the cost estimate for this project is approximately $75,000.  These repairs are already underway.

Our “Raise the Roof” Campaign will help offset the amount that will be withdrawn from the Trust Funds.  Our goal is to raise $75,000 in this campaign.
