They may be away from family or home; they may living alone; many are facing financial or personal stress; and many others simply enjoy the fellowship of a community activity. The Community Dinner ensures that everyone has a place to go and someone to share Christmas Day with. This dinner is an opportunity for people to come together and share in a celebration of the season with a wonderful meal prepared in love.
The Community Christmas Dinner is an outreach effort of the Community Hot Meal Program at St. James Church, which serves approx. 100 hot meals meals weekly to community members in need. Any donated food or funds not needed for the Christmas Dinner itself will be used to provide hot meals for people in need throughout the year.
