At St. Matthew’s we have open hearts, open minds and open doors. Founded in 1898 and located in the Glebe neighbourhood of Ottawa, we are a vibrant Christian community that welcomes everyone, embraces inspiring worship and learning, and is committed to hospitality and loving service.

We serve God by helping and supporting those around us. Our parishioners volunteer in several community outreach activities. Donations assist us in carrying out our programs which help:

• women in need and victims of domestic violence
• individuals and families needing food
• homeless and low-income people needing a comforting meal during cold winter months
• teens and young adults needing supplies and stable housing
• refugees through our sponsorship, welcoming and personal and financial support

Donations help keep our church doors open for those who come to in-person church services. They also help keep online recordings rolling for those who join us online for worship, learning and fellowship. Together in-person or online, we can find spiritual sustenance and welcoming fellowship.
