Your generosity makes a huge difference in Holy Trinity, Guildwood's ability to fully live out our vision of ministry!
Since 2021, we have been taking our ministry to the next level and creating a cohesive intergenerational, contemporary program that provides support, leadership, religious and social education to parishioners as well as the broader Guildwood community.
We provde services that were not previously available to young people or seniors through shared in-person and/or virtual activities and ministries.
It allows us to maximize the foundational work the parish has done and the rich web of community relationships we enjoy, working effectively with East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club, Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate Institute, Chartwell Guildwood Retirement Residence and Extendicare Guildwood.
We are advancing this vision to the next level through various platforms – a media lab; an integrated values, science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics youth program; vacation Bible school; missional community events; Christian education and discipleship; leadership and mentoring.
Our objective is to build a fully vibrant, diverse, multicultural and multi-generational self-sustaining parish with the young people and seniors of south east Scarborough.
Honouring and Acknowledging Indigenous Territory
We honour and acknowledge that this land and locality is the historical traditional lands of the Indigenous Peoples of what we call Turtle Island and what is commonly called North America. Specifically, Church of the Holy Trinity, Guildwood is situated upon traditional territories of the Wendat, Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Mississaugas of Scugog, Hiawatha, and Alderville First Nations and the Métis Nation. The treaty that was signed for this particular parcel of land is collectively referred to as the Williams Treaties of 1923 and applies to lands east of Woodbine Avenue. As we journey through life and faith, may we always seek to walk together the path of reconciliation and renewal. Let us commit ourselves to be partners in healing and peace, to the glory and thanksgiving of God our Creator. We recognize the enduring presence of Indigenous people on this land.
