St. Aloysius Parish is located at 11 Traynor Avenue in Kitchener, Ontario and is one of 126 Catholic Churches belonging to the Diocese of Hamilton. We are also part of the Deanery of Waterloo.
The Parish has grown quite a lot since its humble beginnings in 1953. St. Aloysius Church first began in a seminary chapel known as St. Jerome’s College Chapel. At that time, the church was on the outskirts of Kitchener with fewer than 200 families attending. Today, more than 4000 families and 10,308 Members are part of the busy Parish in the heart of Kitchener.
The Parish was founded by the Congregation of the Resurrection Fathers, next it was under the care of the Diocesan Clergy, and in July 2012, it came under the care of the Order of Discalced Carmelite Fathers. Currently, the Pastor is Melvin Pinto with Associate Pastor Sunil DSouza.
