Christ Church Cathedral, Fredericton is a centre of vibrant Christian faith and ministry in the Anglican tradition striving to be a relevant voice of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the capital city of New Brunswick, Canada. The Cathedral sees its service of welcome and hospitality to all as a main focus, offering a thoughtful and peaceful place for all to worship God, the creator of all. Regular outreach to citizens of Fredericton in need and assisting with the community kitchen are weekly programme offerings.
The Cathedral offers diverse opportunities for worship and service recognizing both its historical significance in the story of the Christian faith in New Brunswick and the contemporary call of the Gospel to be a community facilitating transformation in our world.
The Cathedral sets a standard of excellence in divine worship and music. Worship ministry is facilitated by choirs including an adult choir with a ministry of traditional choral music and a contemporary praise band leading the 11:45 a.m. more informal worship each Sunday morning. Traditional Choral Evensong is offered on the first Sunday of each month. During the summer months, the Cathedral Recital Series is a city favourite.
