The Schizophrenia Society of Alberta (SSA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals living with schizophrenia and the people who care about them.
Our programs are offered at no-cost through our branches in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Medicine Hat, and Lethbridge, as well as, a satellite office in Camrose. These programs are available in person, online and over the phone.
Our Key Programs Include:
- Adult peer support and educational programs for individuals living with schizophrenia
- Family/Caregiver peer support groups and educational programs for those supporting a loved one with schizophrenia
- Community Education Presentations offered to all audiences including schools, community organizations, and first responders to increase awareness and reduce stigma
- 3 supportive housing programs located in Edmonton and Red Deer for 55 individuals living with schizophrenia, who were homeless or at risk of homelessness
