Our Mission

Statement of Faith and Action:

We believe that all people are created in the image of God and are unconditionally loved by God. We pray that our lives together will be fully inclusive of people of all races, genders, sexual orientations, differing abilities and challenges, ethnic backgrounds and economic circumstances.

As we continue our journey of what it means to be an inclusive, faithful community, we understand that teaching and learning about each other is a process of mutual listening, understanding and respect. We pray for God’s spirit to guide us as we work for reconciliation and justice for all persons in both church and society.

About CARLISLE UNITED CHURCH

Carlisle United Church is a dynamic congregation of people who seek to live faithfully and courageously in a complex world. We are located in greater Hamilton, a traditionally rural area with a growing community around us. We reach out in hospitality to migrant farm workers, encourage the community to give through an annual food drive, house the area Food Bank and work with Wesley Centre in inner city Hamilton. We are open to people seeking spirituality in their lives, whatever their faith background might be.

On this website you can make donations to our General Fund, our Building Fund, our Memorial Fund, and the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church through this congregation.
