2 VandenBos Whitby Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron Sponsoring Committee

As the Sponsoring Committee of 2 VandenBos Whitby Royal Air Cadet Squadron, our main focus is to raise funds and ensure the squadron and program remain an important part of our community.      The program is like no other. 

We are a non-profit youth organization serving Whitby.  We draw youth aged 12 through 19 from Whitby and Brooklin and a few from other communities.  We do not charge youth for the program making it accessible to anyone who wishes to join.    

 Our Cadets can be seen supporting the Whitby and Brooklin communities by assisting the local Legions with their Poppy Campaigns, Remembrance Day Dinners and Concerts; cleaning up two Whitby roads twice yearly! Garden Street – from Consumers Drive to Dundas Street East and Country Lane Road – Rossland Road to Twin Streams Road for the Adopt-A-Road campaigns; band presentations at Whitby Seniors’ Homes; participating in local parades and festivals (Santa Claus Parade, Remembrance Day Parade, Battle of Brittan Parade, Brooklin Spring Fair Parade, Harvest Festival; and numerous local fundraisers and marathons throughout Whitby – and even into other parts of Durham, as our training schedules permit.
