OUR MISSION
To empower youth 16-29 living with mental illness through innovative youth engagement and peer support.
HOW WE SUPPORT YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH
Laing House is a nonprofit organization with a focus on empowering young people aged 16-29 with lived mental health experience. We've been creating communities centering on peer support, mutual encouragement, hope and recovery guidance for over 20 years.
We help design holistic plans for goal setting and building resilience while creating environments that foster curiosity, confidence and a sense of community.
Current programs and activities include: pet therapy, music therapy, creative writing, art instruction, employment & education support, and group sessions related to managing relationships, coping with anxiety, and the development of practical skills.
