St. Nicholas is a community whose foundations and roots are deep, and future is bright. From its humble beginnings as a meeting place for new Canadians from Western Ukraine a hundred years ago, to a multi-generational, multi-ethnic, multi-social/economic community, serving the country and suburban communities that surround Winnipeg (in fact St. Nicholas is the only Orthodox Church in all of Manitoba – outside the city limits of Winnipeg – that has a consistent service every Sunday)
