Taber and District Housing Foundation administrates the Meals on Wheels program for Taber and area. Individuals over 65 and those with temporary or permanent disabilities under the age of 65 are eligible to participate in Meals on Wheels.
Meals are prepared by the Clearview Lodge kitchen staff and delivered by volunteers to Taber residents every weekday lunch. Eligible individuals outside of Taber can arrange for meal pickup.
Currently, meals cost $9.00 per day for a soup, salad, entree and dessert. TDHF prepares and arranges delivery for approximately 300 meals per month.
The goal of this fundraising drive is to raise $10,000 in the before July 31, 2020 for two reasons:
1) to reduce the meal cost to $7.00, and
2) to encourage individuals to join the program. The goal is to deliver an additional 200 meals per month.
