Am I Missing

about

AM I MISSING?

Search. Analysis. Resolution.

For 37 years, I have worked as a licensed private investigator across Western Canada and internationally.

Throughout that time, one type of call has never stopped coming:

“Can you help us find them?”

Families facing a missing loved one often cannot afford professional investigative support. Because of this, my firm — CPA International Investigations Inc. — has taken on hundreds of missing persons cases pro bono since 1989.

But the need continues to grow.

Am I Missing? was created to expand that mission.

Why “Am I Missing?

Our organization was formerly known as CPA Recovery K9 Unit. As our work expanded beyond search dogs and into structured investigative analysis, it became clear we needed a name that reflected the full scope of what we do.

Am I Missing? represents the critical first question in every case:

Is this person truly missing? Or have they intentionally disconnected?

Understanding that distinction changes everything.

With 37 years of investigative experience, we analyze historical patterns, behavioral indicators, financial traces, communication history, and case facts to determine the appropriate course of action.

This structured approach allows us to deploy the right resources efficiently and responsibly.

What We Do

We assist families, communities, and law enforcement by deploying:

• Licensed private investigators • Certified K9 search teams • Ground search volunteers • Coordinated case planning • Professional documentation and reporting

We operate 24/7 because missing persons cases do not follow business hours.

Every case is handled with urgency. Every family is treated with dignity.

Why Donations Matter

For decades, many of these cases were funded personally or absorbed through our investigation firm.

Now, through Am I Missing?, we are building a sustainable structure to:

• Accept more missing persons cases • Deploy resources faster • Maintain trained K9 teams • Cover fuel and operational costs • Upgrade search equipment • Support volunteer training

Your donation allows us to redirect cases to the charity and help families who otherwise would have nowhere to turn.

The Reality

Not every missing persons case is the same.

Some involve genuine danger. Some involve mental health challenges. Some involve individuals who have chosen to live off the grid.

Our experience allows us to identify the difference.

And when someone is truly missing — we mobilize.

How You Can Help

$50 supports fuel for ground search efforts

$100 assists with K9 maintenance and training

$250 contributes to specialized equipment

$500 helps fund coordinated deployment

$1,000+ strengthens rapid response capacity

Every dollar increases our ability to respond.

A Personal Note

For nearly four decades, I have seen what uncertainty does to families.

This charity exists so that financial limitations do not determine whether someone receives help.

With your support, we continue bringing structure, experience, and compassion to missing persons cases across Western Canada.

Because behind every file is a family waiting for answers.
