BC Heritage Fairs Society promotes an awareness and understanding of Canadian history and heritage.

The BC Heritage Fairs Society supports history education in schools throughout the province, supporting 13 annual regional fairs and hosting one provincial fair. The BC Heritage Fairs Society's mandate is to promote an awareness and understanding of Canadian history and heritage among students and adults in the province of British Columbia. History is the subject but the goal is thoughtful and caring citizens.
Students research and create projects highlighting some aspect of family, local or Canadian history and present their projects to others in their class or school. Students can then advance to a regional or provincial fair. The BC Provincial Fair is a five day history camp held in July at a different location throughout the province. Past provincial fairs have been held in Squamish, Kamloops, Victoria, Barkerville and Abbotsford.
