Every year we provide 1,200 hours of free counselling services and 1,000 youth and members of the community attend our prevention programs.
Based in Mi’kma’ki, the Colchester Sexual Assault Centre is a registered charitable organization that provides quality counselling services and programming aimed to strengthen, empower, and support anyone impacted by sexual violence. Through our Community Resource Centre located in Truro, NS, our team of Registered Counselling Therapists provide in-person and virtual support options, navigation and referrals to other community-based services throughout Colchester, Cumberland and East Hants Counties, and beyond. Additionally, we provide educational services that generate awareness and advocacy in the prevention of all forms of sexual violence. Until prevention of sexual violence is fully reached, we believe all Nova Scotians should have free and equitable access to the programs and services they need.
