What is Greyhound, Galgo, Podenco of Atlantic Canada (GGPAC)?  Galgos and Podencos are traditional Spanish hunting dogs. Every year, thousands are abandoned - or worse - in Spain. Sadly, these majestic, highly intelligent loyal dogs often require rescue from appalling conditions. GGPAC works closely with dog rescue groups located in Spain, such as ACE SHIN Animal Care España and Ibizan Hound Rescue to select and bring Galgos and Podencos to their forever homes in Atlantic Canada.  GGPAC's mission is to match rescued Galgos and Podencos with pre-approved families in Atlantic Canada and to help with a smooth transition to home life.

GGPAC is a 100% volunteer-run charity.

How does GGPAC work?  Building on the care and dedication of the amazing rescue organizations in Spain, GGPAC assesses both the rescued dogs and the candidate families to ensure the best possible matches and create the greatest chance of successful adoptions.  GGPAC transports these carefully selected dogs from Spain and provides support to the adoptive families.
