COVID-19 has highlighted the inequities suffered by children/youth living in poverty when it comes to accessing learning materials and mental health supports.

Parents Engaged in Education stepped up immediately to produce Learn at Home Kits for youth living in poverty in Toronto.  Through this initiative it became clear that a more permanent source of support is needed for these children to succeed like their peers in more affluent homes.

To address this gap, we are building Canada’s First Education Bank that will operate similar to a food bank, except instead of feeding their bodies, we will be feeding their minds and spirits.

This pilot project is one that will grow across the province of Ontario and possibly throughout the country, but we need the support of companies and individuals who are as committed to raising up the next generation.
