The Rotary Club of Calgary at Stampede Park improves lives through service, investing an estimated $1,200,000 annually into charitable initiatives across our city and globally. These projects touch thousands of people each year and create a lasting impact that grows over time.
Our Club has supported a wide range of community needs:
Health & Rehabilitation: Supported facilities such as the Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured, Ronald McDonald House, and the MustardSeed.
Children & Families: Provided support to Providence and Renfrew Educational Services for children with special needs, and the Rotary Flames House—Alberta’s first pediatric hospice. The annual “Kids at Heart” Golf Classic donates to local children’s charities each year.
Seniors: Supported the Rotary Bethany Atrium.
Community Infrastructure: Contributed to the Rotary Mattamy Greenway (one of the world’s largest pathway networks) and Rotary Challenger Park, an inclusive facility for people with disabilities.
Education: Established the Rotary Stay in School Program to encourage and empower Calgary’s youth.
These initiatives represent only a fraction of the hundreds of projects our Club has invested in. In 2024, the Club committed $1 million over five years to the Flames/Rotary Arenas Project, which will build four arenas in socio-economically disadvantaged areas of Calgary to keep kids active and off the streets.
