Pervana's Legacy Fund

Campaign Ends June 30, 2020

Pervana worked for many years as the coordinator at the Memphrémagog Community Learning Centre. She was fiercely passionate about her job and her community, organizing countless projects for the students of Princess Elizabeth Elementary School and the greater community.

Pervana passed suddenly, and before she left, she provided a list of things she felt the community needed, and which she wished she could have accomplished in her time here. As a strong proponent of lifelong learning, community-building, and of the power of being outdoors, she dreamed of projects that would enrich the lives of local children and adults through music, being outdoors, and being together, such as: building a gazebo in the community garden, which would support an outdoor curriculum, art in the garden, and host music nights and other gatherings; logs for the children to sit on and benches in the garden; senior bands and dances outdoors; outdoor movie nights; and the continuation of Parkside Ranch, an initiative through which students learn how to take care of horses and learn to ride over eight weeks in the spring and fall.
