Education in Cambodia comes at a cost, perhaps small by western standards, but often unattainable to the impoverished in the region. ABCs and Rice recognizes education as a right that every child should have, as well as the key to breaking the cycle of poverty.

We offer various food programs and free education in English and Khmer to the impoverished children in the Poom Sala, and Kroligne Village area of Siem Reap.

Families struggle through stifling poverty; in attempts to get at least some of their children an education, often leaving one or more child home to work. ABC’s works closely with the village chief and key community members to target those most in need, and offers a hand up.

We aim to provide a safe, healthy, fun and loving environment where education and the realization of self worth are of the utmost priority.
