Our mission is to empower the independence and full community participation of persons who have a spinal cord injury or mobility disability by providing innovative services and developing progressive public policy.
About Ability New Brunswick Inc.
Over 73,000 New Brunswickers live with a mobility disability. The sudden reality of a spinal cord injury or the onset of any mobility disability can be frightening and overwhelming. Advances in medical care and rehabilitation do not necessarily mean that persons with a mobility disability have a good quality of life. Many persons with a mobility disability face barriers to community participation and issues such as poverty, inactivity, social isolation and inaccessible communities are common.
Formed in 1956, Ability NB is a provincial community-based organization.
