In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Access Pro Bono (APB) has converted all of its in-person summary legal advice clinics to telephone clinics for the safety of its volunteer lawyers and clients.

When times are tough economically, those already struggling financially are among the first to feel the effects – APB has already seen an increase in individuals contending with many legal issues related to housing, employment, EI, insurance, wills & estates, and contracts in the coming weeks and even months.

In order to meet these needs and to continue to serve as many low-income British Columbians as possible, APB has increased its telephone advice services to meet emerging legal needs from the COVID-19 pandemic. APB is actively recruiting new volunteer lawyers to serve in telephone clinics specifically designed to serve COVID-19-related legal needs.
