Catastrophic flooding in Libya has destroyed towns and swept away homes– leaving a trail of devastation. More than 5,300 people have died, and over 10,000 are missing.
We have teams in Libya right now, ready to help people affected by this violent flood. But we need funding to reach the families that need our support and save more lives.

THE SITUATION IN LIBYA:
Storm Daniel – which had already hit Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria – reached the Libyan coast on September 10th. The city of Derna, in the east of the country, has been destroyed by the disaster after two nearby dams burst under the pressure of the floods.
Before the floods, 1.5 million people in Libya were already in need of humanitarian support. This disaster will only exacerbate the need for help.
