Action Saint-François is an environmental organization who strives to bring together people interested in the management, restoration and remediation of waterways, riverbanks and flood plains within the St. Francis River watershed.

Firstly, we pick up waste materials on the shores and dispose of them appropriately to lessen their environmental impact. Since our creation, we have organized over 600 cleanup activities with a volunteer attendance of 6500+ people. We have cleaned up nearly 600 tonnes of waste materials from watercourses, of which 80% have been recycled.

Secondly, we organize tree and shrub planting activities along watercourse to stabilize shorelines, regulate water temperatures, create habitat for various wildlife species, and mitigate climate change. We have planted over 37 000 trees and shrubs since 2007, which have been carefully selected to preserve ecological balance.

Thirdly, we educate citizens and raise their awareness about environmental issues by hosting conferences and a nature-themed show, the Salon de la Nature.
