The Adoption Council of Ontario, or "ACO", is a membership based organization for all parties to adoption in Ontario -- adopted persons, adoptive parents, birth parents, professionals -- as well as anyone interested in adoption. ACO is a registered charity and a province-wide organization based in Toronto. ACO runs the Adoption Resource Centre in Toronto at 3216 Yonge St. (above Lawrence Ave). The Adoption Resource Centre houses a library, a telephone helpline and small meeting rooms.

ACO offers a telephone helpline, seminars and education programs, the "Adoption Roundup" newsletter and two web sites: www.adoptontario.ca and www.adoption.on.ca.
