Our Mission

By supporting the foundation you are supporting AFP and philanthropy across Canada. The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy - Canada, the AFP Canadian Council and the AFP Canadian Government Relations Committee are here to support professional fundraisers in the work that they do everyday in creating “caring communities” across Canada. The important work that professional fundraisers undertake on behalf of the organizations they represent has never been more appreciated than it is today. Please join your fellow AFP members and colleagues in supporting the ongoing development of our profession in Canada.

The funds raised through the Every Member Campaign (EMC) will continue to support educational programs and scholarships/bursaries in the Canadian chapters’ geographical areas. These funds will also support AFP Canada’s national objectives.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada, exists to advance the charitable objectives of AFP through targeted funding for strategic initiatives all across Canada. The various initiatives undertaken benefit everyone, members and non-members alike, by increasing accessibility to educational programs, funding new and innovative research in our sector and conducting public educational programs to enhance the environment for philanthropy across the country.
