Our Mission

To alleviate poverty through education.

About ACCES

Since 1993, ACCES has followed its mission to alleviate poverty through education by supporting over 3,400 young Kenyans to post secondary graduation. ACCES receives over 500 applications per year from secondary school graduates who qualify and desperately want to attend college and university but cannot pay the tuition and other fees. Presently, about 100 new students per year are granted post-secondary scholarships. With your financial support we would like to do more.

Monthly contributions give the added benefit of a predictable funding stream, which allows us to make future plans and spread our support to more students. When ACCES awards a scholarship, we are making a commitment to support the student through to graduation. This is typically four years for university, three for college, and two for a technical or trades diploma.

Your monthly gift provides:

• $10 per month supports mentoring programs for current students and alumni

• $25 per month funds 50% of a university scholarship for the academic year ($300 annual)

• $50 per month funds a full university scholarship for the academic year ($600 annual)

• $67 per month provides a full technical or trades scholarship (or a university or college scholarship for a disabled student) for the academic year ($804 annual)
