Our Mission

Education is the Passport to Opportunity.

The African Pikin Foundation raises funds in support of the impoverished children of Sierra Leone. By providing urgently needed financial assistance, the children will be able to further their education and take charge of their future. We have seen, first hand, the desperate need for educational assistance.

About African Pikin Foundation

At the present time only 41% of children in Sierra Leone have the opportunity to go to primary school and only 9% go on to attend secondary school due to the lack of financial and educational resources and the lack of schools.

The unlucky ones, the ones who do not have the advantages that come with education, are left to suffer and fend for themselves in an unstable environment.

There is only one teacher for every 70 students.
