Airdrie 1st Club (formerly Airdrie Lioness Hamper Foundation) provides hampers to low income families at Christmas. All recipients are screened using criteria provided by the food bank, and grocery gift cards are based on the number of individuals being served in each family.
Hamper recipients are provided with gift cards to purchase gifts for each family member and to purchase groceries for the family.
We offer an "adopt a family" program for companies and individuals who wish to assist us with the hamper program. In the 2021 season Airdrie 1st Club provided hampers to 319 families.
Airdrie 1st Club has been serving Airdrie since 1977.
