We bring science to life for kids through hands-on activities and provide educators with tools and resources to get kids excited about science.
About ALBERTA SCIENCE NETWORK
Our signature Provincial program is Scientists & Engineers-in-the-Classroom. Practicing scientists, engineers and subject matter experts volunteer their time in classrooms and inspire the next generation with Alberta Education science curriculum linked presentations.
Chemistry All Around You is similar and presented in a gymnasium format to larger groups of students. High impact chemical experiments and demonstrations highlight the chemistry that is literally all around us everyday.
Teacher Science Workshops offers science professional development for teachers and is available in Calgary and Edmonton directly from ASN. In Grande Prairie, Red Deer, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, TSW is delivered in partnership with Alberta Regional PD Consortia.
