Help a Mother give her child the Gift of Learning with a gift of school essentials that includes pens, pencils, notebooks, workbooks and lesson books, a school uniform (a traditional Tibetan chupa), a school backpack, warm socks (we like to supply warm socks each year!) a toothbrush and toothpaste, and basic sporting equipment like skip ropes and footballs.

The Upper Dolpo, on Nepal's border with Tibet, is one of the highest, harshest, inhabited places on the planet. Illiteracy rates are very high. The schools are minimally funded and rely on help from the international community. They only teach to grade 5 or 6 yet they bring life changing opportunities not just to the children and their families, but to the entire community.

All materials and supplies are purchased in Kathmandu in March and transported to the Upper Dolpo for the start of the school year, much of the distance by mule or yak. It is a weeks walk from the end of the road to get to these villages April 1.
