One of the most important things an individual can do to promote brain health and live well despite cognitive change is to stay socially connected and active.
The Early Stage Wellness program is for persons with early stage cognitive change and dementia to meet with peers in a social setting and focus on their strengths and abilities, while adapting to the challenges of living with dementia.
For $10 someone with dementia can attend one session.
"Being a part of the Alzheimer Society has given me my life back. I enjoy meeting friends and we help each other, we don't ignore the problems but we look as what we can do. We remember we are still important and valuable people."
