Twix is only 5 months old, but he’s already been through more than most dogs will in their lifetime. Instead of reviewing adoption applications and setting up meet-and-greets with potential forever families, we’re busy booking vet appointments and reviewing care plans—doing everything we can to get this little guy the help he needs.
He’s already had two emergency procedures to treat a painful rectal prolapse, and now he needs a more complex surgery called a colopexy to fix the underlying issue. Our vet team also suspects there may be other health concerns, so further testing and follow-up care are still ahead.
Through it all, Twix hasn’t wavered. He welcomes each day with a wagging tail, a gentle heart, and those big puppy eyes that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
