The Anxiety Disorders Association of Manitoba (ADAM) has been providing support to people with anxiety disorders and their families, and resources and education related to anxiety to educators, businesses, and many others for over 30 years.
We are aware of the high level of anxiety in the general public resulting from the current COVID19 crisis. In response, we have established a (no fee) support line for people who are experiencing anxiety due to various issues related to COVID19, including anxiety over getting sick, anxiety related to financial difficulties and job loss, anxiety over family members getting sick, and other issues that are creating distress at this time. We invite people who are feeling anxious to call our support line and leave their name and number. A trained, qualified person with personal experience with anxiety will call back to provide support and practical suggestions as needed.
The phone line is monitored from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10:00 to 4:00 on weekends. The number is 204-925-0040. ADAM cares and we are here to help on weekends. The number is 204-925-0040. ADAM cares and we are here to help.
