The Archdiocese of Ottawa is home to 410,000 Catholics worshiping and serving the Lord in 111 parish communities. Culturally rich and diverse, the Archdiocese is made up of 260,000 English-speaking parishioners, 123,000 French-speaking, and nearly 20,000 Catholics speaking other languages.
Meeting the spiritual needs of the people are countless lay persons who work in partnership with 137 diocesan priests, 102 religious priests and 60 deacons as well as nearly 700 religious women. Together they serve the local church in various pastoral, charitable and educational ministries throughout the city of Ottawa and the United Prescott-Russell counties as well as the townships of Darling, Pakenham, Ramsay and Levant in the county of Lanark.
