Rose of Sharon is Canada's first and only long-term care facility dedicated to providing culturally specific care to Canadian seniors of Korean heritage. We have begun the process of returning ownership of the Rose of Sharon home back to the Korean community. Ownership will fulfill our vision of Korean seniors living with respect and dignity.
We need continued and renewed fundraising support from all partner communities to ensure our Korean seniors live with respect and dignity. Our first priority is the future and care of our Korean seniors. Our seniors will have access to Korean cultural activities, traditional food and caring staff who speak Korean and understand individual needs of each resident. Arirang Age-Friendly Community Centre (AAFCC) is deeply grateful to our supporters and partners in the non-profit LTC community.
