Our sport grants have been leveling the playing field financially for low income Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations families for over 25 years. We assist parents and caregivers who may have limited financial freedom to provide opportunities for their children to experience an active lifestyle in an organized sport. Participating in sports has many recorded and documented values for children and youth but also to families and to the community.

Eligible families can apply yearly to receive financial sports grants of up to $400 per child, per year, to use toward registration fees for the sport of their choice.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES:

• Equity in Access: We believe every child deserves the opportunity to participate in sports, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances

.• Youth-Focused Support: We provide funding for children and youth up to 17 years of age to help them thrive through sport

.• Championing Participation: We support access to organized sports and physical activities that foster teamwork, confidence, and healthy lifestyles

.• Removing Financial Barriers: We assist with the cost of registration fees, ensuring that financial hardship does not stand in the way of a child’s athletic journey.

OUR MISSION:

The Arnold Anderson Sport Fund is committed to removing financial barriers to sport by providing annual grants to cover registration fees. We strive to ensure that all economically disadvantaged youth in the City of Brantford, the County of Brant, and the surrounding Six Nations communities have the opportunity to participate in organized sports, fostering inclusion, personal growth, and community connection through active living.
