About ART CITY INC.

Art City is a not-for-profit community art centre dedicated to providing people of all ages with artist-led programming, free-of-charge and on a drop-in basis. Art City’s primary goal is to provide opportunities and a safe environment for anyone who wishes to express themselves creatively (with a focus on under-served children & youth).

Located in Winnipeg's West Broadway neighbourhood, Art City provides community art workshops for thousands of children and families each year.

Through outreach programming, Art City also serves children and youth at a growing number off-site locations on a weekly basis. Working alongside our agency partners who have identified the need for arts engagement within the communities they serve, these programs are primarily for children. Others are offered for older adults and adults with disabilities.

Including our outreach programs and special events, Art City provides art experiences for over 5,000 individuals annually. The majority of our participants are Indigenous and newcomer youth aged 6-14 and their families. Most live in poverty and could not access professional art programming without the opportunities provided by Art City.

Healthy meals are served during all of our drop-in workshops, addressing barriers to food security for community residents.
