Art Gallery of Nova Scotia

about

With locations in downtown Halifax and Yarmouth, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is the largest art museum in Atlantic Canada. Each year, more than 60,000 visitors from across the province, throughout Canada, and around the world are welcomed into our spaces. The AGNS is responsible for acquiring, preserving and exhibiting works of art, and for providing education in the visual arts. The Permanent Collection currently holds more than 19,000 works and includes more than 4,000 artists.

When you support the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, you are strengthening the arts and enhancing our ability to offer rewarding experiences, deliver educational opportunities, and connect communities across Nova Scotia with art.

Your generosity helps us advance our mission, including dissolving barriers for young learners, prioritizing local art and artists, and integrating health and wellness initiatives into our annual offerings.
