Wildfires displaced them — not their voices.
For over 20 years, Artscan Circle has delivered artist-led arts programming — music, visual art, dance, poetry, and storytelling — to remote northern Indigenous communities across Canada. Since 2022, that work has expanded to respond when Indigenous families are displaced by wildfires, flooding, and water crises.
Right now, families are living in hotel rooms in Niagara Falls, far from home with no fixed timeline for return. Our artists are on the ground, running programming that gives displaced kids something steady to hold onto — music, art, and storytelling in the middle of upheaval. As more communities are evacuated, we're preparing to expand this support to additional host cities.

- Instruments and art/craft supplies delivered to hotels and shelters
- Artist-facilitators working one-on-one with displaced children and youth
- Rapid response as more families are evacuated and new sites open
Every gift helps a displaced child pick up an instrument, a paintbrush, or find their voice again — right when they need it most.
