Our Mission
For over 80 yrs, Ascension of our Lord parish has been serving the English Catholic community of Westmount, QC.
About Ascension of Our Lord Parish, Westmount, Quebec.
We share in various social action projects & participate in faith & spiritual development programs. Here are some:
Benedict Labre House- Several times a year our parishioners cook and serve Sunday lunch.
Montreal Diet Dispensary: We help with the "Christmas Cheer Program" to purchase food vouchers for clients of the dispensary.
L’Abri en Ville: We help to provide a stable environment for persons with mental illness through safe, affordable housing and inclusion in a supportive community.
Westmount Park School’s breakfast program has been helped for years by our parishioners who continue to support the program every year to help feed over 230 primary school children who often go to school with no breakfast or lunch.
Meals on Wheels for over 25 years has provided meals twice a week to shut-ins in our area.
We sponsor the Seniors Lunch Club and the Greene Avenue Community Centre provides a relaxed atmosphere where seniors can meet others with similar interests.
