Created in 1979, the Montreal branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is a non-profit organization working to promote mental health and prevent mental illness.
CMHA-Montréal is a forum where concerned persons and groups can come together to discuss mental health issues and to work collaboratively on promotion-prevention activities and programms.
CMHA-Montréal also strives to promote dialogue among community and institutionnal networks so that, knowing each other better and sharing each other’s approaches and expertise, they will be interested in collaborating on concrete projects.
Along with its partners, CMHA-Montréal lobies decision-makers in order to expert its influence in shaping social policies and improving mental-health services.
