Docu-fiction project : Suffering in Silence

"Suffering in Silence" is a docu-fiction that addresses the subject of sickle cell anemia, also known as sickle cell disease, an incurable and hereditary condition of which 80% of affected individuals or carriers of the gene are of African descent. It is a genetic disease affecting hemoglobin, the blood protein responsible for the binding and transport of respiratory gases in the blood (oxygen and carbon dioxide).

We wish to present you with a unique opportunity to contribute to the creation of a high-impact social film. To realize this ambitious project, we seek your valuable support through our crowdfunding campaign. Here are the reasons why your participation is essential:

The production of a film requires significant financial resources. Your contribution will help us cover production costs, including artistic direction, equipment rental, location reservations, post-production (video editing, special effects, sound mixing, etc.), promotion, and many other essential elements for the creation of a quality project.

By supporting our crowdfunding campaign, you will help us gain visibility, reach a wider audience, raise awareness about the issues addressed, and increase the desired impact, with the hope of inspiring real change in our society.

Our film addresses important social themes that shed light on significant issues and provoke meaningful reflections on a still too little-known disease, yet one that is very present in the daily lives of many people.

By financially supporting our campaign, you join our noble cause and contribute to the creation of cinematic content that promotes awareness and understanding of sickle cell anemia issues.

We sincerely appreciate your interest in our social film project and hope we can count on your generosity to make it a reality. Your financial contribution will help us realize our artistic vision and amplify the voices that deserve to be heard.

Together, we can create a film that inspires, questions, and brings about positive changes for our society.

Our vision

For this cinematic work, we want to use the direct cinema technique, a combination of documentary and fiction.

In our view, it is important to evoke emotions in the audience through fiction and support the facts with testimonies from people affected by the disease and experts. We aim to shed light on the daily experiences of patients and their families.

Our greatest wish with this project is to give back to the community by raising awareness and prevention efforts among the population to help those who suffer in silence.
