The Association of Manitoba Museums (AMM) is the association for all museums in the province. Formed in 1972, the AMM is a charitable organization that represents over 200 organizations and individuals from all heritage disciplines. The AMM, as the voice of the museum community, is dedicated to strengthening our museum community by promoting excellence in preserving and presenting Manitoba's heritage. It is the primary organization for training volunteers, entry level staff, and professionals in museum facilities throughout the province. It provides professional advice to members on the conservation of heritage artifacts and belongings through its Cultural Stewardship Program. It has created an on-line collections database (Musetoba) for Manitoba museums - including a public portal for researchers and members of the public to view these collections on the Internet.
