Spectrum Advantage provides support for autistic professionals, assisting them in securing and maintaining meaningful, competitive employment that is a match for their skills and qualifications. Our program was created out of a need for employment services for qualified individuals with invisible barriers to employment.

The need for our services continues to grow. Recent statistics indicate that approximately 24,000 autistic individuals who were diagnosed as children reside in Calgary, with more people being diagnosed as adults each year. In 2019, alone, almost 2,000 adults in Alberta  were diagnosed with autism.

To date, Spectrum Advantage has supported over 200 people to gain competitive employment that is commensurate with their skills and education. As the need for this support grows, so does our need for the support of our community. With your help, we will be able to continue to arm young professionals with the tools needed to be successful in the workplace.
